Emotional Support Animal (ESA) Evaluation
An ESA evaluation is a clinical process, not a formality. It involves understanding your current mental and emotional functioning, how symptoms are impacting your day-to-day life, and whether the presence of an emotional support animal is a clinically appropriate form of support.
What this includes
A structured clinical interview
Review of relevant mental health history and current functioning
Consideration of any existing documentation (if provided)
A clinical determination regarding the appropriateness of an ESA
Written documentation if clinically indicated
Important to know
This is not a letter-only service.
Completion of an evaluation does not guarantee that an ESA letter will be provided. Recommendations are made based on clinical judgment, observed need, and alignment with current standards of care.
This service is separate from ongoing therapy and does not establish a continuous treatment relationship.
How to get started
You can request an ESA evaluation by reaching out or scheduling a consultation. If this service is a good fit, we will move forward with a structured assessment.
ESA evaluations are offered as a structured, one-time clinical service.
Fee provided prior to scheduling.
